Hot Literati is owned and operated by Pulchritude Media LLC. This policy applies to the Hot Literati app, website, and any related services.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly when you create an account, including your name, email address, and username. You may optionally provide a phone number and a profile photo.
We also collect information about your activity within the app, including books you add to your shelf, reading progress, annotations, reviews, photos you post (including photos taken to verify a reading guide purchase), writing projects and notes, book club activity, and other content you post to the community.
If you subscribe to a paid membership on our website, payment is processed by Stripe; we do not store your payment details. If you subscribe to Hot Literati Pro or make a purchase within the app, payment is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and purchase/entitlement information is managed through RevenueCat; we do not receive or store your payment card details from either.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate and improve the app, personalize your experience, send you reminders and notifications you opt into (such as morning and evening reflection reminders), verify purchases and subscription status, and communicate with you about your account or membership.

Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your data with third parties except as necessary to operate the services listed above.
Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app (Profile → Settings → Delete Account), which permanently removes your account. If you've already deleted the app, you may request deletion by emailing hello@hotliterati.com
Age Restriction
Hot Literati is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we do not permit account creation by anyone who does not meet this age requirement.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy periodically. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
